Hi, I was just wondering if it's common that the Cougar has kind of weak headlights or if it may be caused by something else. Also I get the change light icon flashing when I have started the car, but disappears when I hit the brake pedal, so I wonder what could be the cause of this. Have no idea of witch of the brake-lights it is. What do you guys think? :)

The action of the 'bulb out' warning light is correct. If it stays ON after you press the brake pedal you have a bulb out but not necessarily a brake light bulb.

As another option if you don't want the hassle of trying to fit an HID kit i've got Osram Unlimited (+110%) H7 bulbs in my dips which are better than the stock bulbs and give a broader spead of light, but the projector beam is pretty bad at light output on the road

I will at some point be going for the HID 6000k option as i want brighter, but be warned depending on specific MOT testers opinion you may not pass an MOT with non stock HIDs fitted.

I've just replaced a headlight bulb, but still have the 'bulb out' warning lamp lit even though headlight is now working.

Thanks for your answers! Since it's illegal with xenon in cars that doesn't have automatic lightheightadjustment and lightwashers in Norway, it seems I'll have to do with what I have. :)
