Possible st220.

Hmmm Rust at the bottom of all the doors, wings, arches, and sills. So little rust protection on those cars. But still a nice drive(y)

Oily engine down one side & crankshaft oil seal suffers leaks and have a good look under the back end at the Rear Sub Frame...they rot out just as they did on the Coug.

The whole rear suspension is rubbish on them to be honest. Well, that's unfair. It works well when it's working but it wears out extremely fast. Give the rear wheels a good hard shake and listen for clonks on the test drive. Also check for uneven wear on the rear tyres.

Because like any new car, when they came out, they were awesome and not aged/worn. I was at a launch party for these and brand new out of the box they were amazing. Still can be if you get a good one.

To be fair, even stuff like rear suspension arms aren't expensive, although they do wear faster than most. As Kully points out though, new cars drive better than worn out cars. Most people wait for MOT failures or really bad noises before they change anything, whereas any car is typically way past its best in terms of driving dynamics long before it gets positively dangerous enough to fail an MOT.
