Question from across the pond

Yeah it would car wise. But then id have to pay import fees on a complete car i think where as if i got from say the front of the door sill to just behind mid fender. And from floor pan to the windsheild cut out and shipped it would be just parts. I already have all but the headlights from a UK car on mine. All im missing other then that is RHD.

You could buy a Cougar here for $400 easily (one member has already picked up a functioning car with a few MOT issues in the last week or two for $240), we have a very stringent annual safety test on our cars which finishes off lots of cars at 10-15 years old, buy an "MOT Failed" model, get it shipped over to the States and I'm sure it wouldn't cost an awful lot less, other upshot would be you'd have two cars, one already built and designed as RHD.

I don't want to sound like a dick, but what would be the merit of a Right-Hand drive car in the United States?

Not really being a dick i dont think. As it is i have four 99 cougars. 2 being no more then parts cars. There is just something about the RHD that i love. Relliott6879 pretty much nailed it as no more then a just because thing.
