Rear sway bar removal

Hi,
Just finished rebuilding complete front suspension, now doing rear. So the question is: can i remove rear sway bar without removing the sub frame? I tried but the gap between sub frame and gas tank is just too small. Is it another ford engineering masterpiece, or is it a way to remove it?

You can't as you've guessed it is a subframe out job.

If you're rebuilding then it's a very good idea to remove the rear subframe anyway. They're always rotting through so removal is a good opportunity to shot blast and repaint it. There is little point in renewing all the balljoints and bushes just to bolt it back to a rotten subframe.

probably but I guess what I meant was you definitely can't get it out without disturbing the subby

Damn ford, just 1 cm bigger gap and it could be removed... No words... my subframe is in good condition, because i bought my car in 2006 from california, and not used it during winter times, so no rust there... Just wanted to remove the bar to blast and repaint it just for fun, because i have some spare hammerite from calipers... Well, ill use it somewhere else, thanks
