I work for a company that reconditions brake calipers (among other things)
and was wondering if anyone would be interested if I can get a good price off my boss.
the calipers would be electroplated in gold
If anyone is interested let me know and I will get a price

i have not had chance to fit it yet....been trying to get the car through its MOT ;-)

Its on the agenda this weekend mate

Thankyou.

On the subject of the calipers....i think if you could get a price and post that up, then you will get definite interest (or otherwise).

I just paid £118 for a reconditioned caliper (albeit with £49 to be refunded when I take the old caliper in). If they can beat that, then it could be a goer!

should be able to get them done for £50 max. I am hopeing to get them for less as I want to do mine
I will find out tommorrow

thats the most they could be (depends on the mood of my boss when I ask)
if I get him in a good mood I might be able to get as low as £30 per caliper
the calipers are shotblasted then electroplated either gold or silver then rebuilt and tested

would love to get them done, just one thing stopping me...or not NO front brakes when getting reconditioned, are the back brakes enough to stop the car? lol

I am getting a complete set of calipers done for myself.
once I have changed them I will be have a spare set to be able to send calipers out to you, then you send your old calipers back

I would be interested in this but I have a set of MK3 Mondy callipers that need reconditioning so would be interested in this mate.

I'm interested. I think I'd be looking to find a cheap set off eBay then send them in for refurb. Any chance you can post a pic up when you've got a set done? I'm curious to see the gold finish, as I've seen gold finishes that range from a deep yellowy shine to so-pale-it's-almost-silver.

I've just purchased a recon rear caliper,

That cost £63 with £25 back when you return the old caliper - so about £38 in the end plus a bit of postage either way.

That was from MWD Ltd
