It's a Chelmsford/Essex registration so high probability of it being a 'factory' car.

I could. But i'm not allowed (the space to park) two cars so it would be my daily...which would be nice but possibly a waste.
The MOT history is revealing - every one since 2005 a pass no adviseries, so the one owner was either mechanic/engineer and very thorough, or well enough off to have employed one.

You would get that for a bag of sand all day long. Nice car and nice find. Very rare indeed. It looks like who ever owned it has modified it a bit as well.
