Hi all, I'm hoping to get back to Cougar ownership after a couple of years away. Not sure if anyone here remembers me but I did attend one or two meets at Bowburn services :)
Anyway currently driving an MG ZR:giggle: and hoping to sell/trade up to another V6 Cougar. I have an offer on the table of a 98 V6 Frosty with full X pack and 130k miles so hope that deal comes off.
Anyways nice to see you guys again :)

Welcome back, Craig.

We've got a Rover VVC Coupe' and it seems that no-one here minds too much. Hope you can get on-board with a decent Cougar and get back in the club. (y)

hi craig, i met you at bowburn, good to hear you are looking at another cat, as im nearby any queries then just give me a shout.

Thanks guys, yes I remember you well Dar(y)
Mako I would be embarrassed to be part of the Cougar community with this car I have, whilst I do have a strange affection for it I keep expecting to suffer headgasket failure on a daily basis, also since I sold my last Cougar I have constantly missed the power and comfort I used to enjoy.
The only car I have owned that came anywhere close was my Alfa 156 2.0 twinnie - powerful, comfortable, awesome handling but I constantly worried about cambelt failure as they are prone to snapping.
At least with a Cougar I know exactly what I am getting, and I know there are none of the major worries that accompany your average Alfa or MG Rover provided it has been reasonably well looked after :)

Hello and welcome back Craig, don't think we've ever met, but you are doing the right thing in getting back into cougar ownership.

Thanks for the welcome guys, unfortunately looks like I won't be returning as soon as I had hoped as the deal I had in place fell through, guy said the car had developed a steering fault so guess I'm gonna have to wait a while:(
