Scattycat's Flymo gets the ticket.

Scattycat

Well - firstly thanks to the Mafia for christening my beautiful new baby 'Flymo' - thanks boys :cautious:

Secondly - thanks to the Mafia for getting my baby back on the road so quickly :)

I saw 'Flymo' on EBay on Saturday and went to look at her - fell in love with her straight away - much nicer than Iain's greenie :p

We took a big gamble on her - no history and no MOT :censored: but it looks like the gamble has paid off. Picked her up on Tuesday evening and then straight round to Mafia HQ. She failed her MOT on Wednesday but not too badly - brake pipes, rear anti roll bar bushes, CV joint gaiter and windscreen washers.

Mark and Nick got cracking on her yesterday and fixed all of the above as well as giving her a full service, replacing front discs and pads, stripping down and rebuilding the rears and sorting out my keys.

Back in for the retest today and flew through with no advisories (although the wishbones may need doing soon :().

Massive thanks to the Mafia boys for seeing to it so quickly and giving my baby a clean bill of health

Anyway I love her she is stunning for a 12 year old car - pulls like a train, hugs the road and turns heads wherever I go.

Here are a couple of snaps of Mark, me and the Don..............and my beautiful new pussy of course

Another cat saved from the knacker's yard - top work again by the mafia. When's the ST200 lump being dropped in then?

Always a bonus, getting the car you want, history or not, and then getting the mot sorted without any real hassle. Then of course, entrusting it to Mark & Nick, you just know! it'll come out the other end............................................................................................................

"SORTED by the Bolton Mafia"

Yeh, yeh, in your dreams!!! LOL It's just a pain in the a*** to try and find a decent garage who will use parts supplied by you and who will do the work without ripping you off or telling you a load of lies. I have used 4 different garages in the past year or so and all of them have either ripped me off or told me complete porkies!! I did have one good garage, but I had a barny with them about me supplying them with parts for the Coug. They argued that's where they make their money...I argued I wanted the right parts putting on my Coug and not some inferior part or parts directly from Ford that were gonna cost me the earth!!! Thinking about moving back up North has suddenly become a quite interesting thought....Oh damn! I work for the Met Office...and can't move! lol
