Side lines (or how do they called)

That is a lovely looking Cat you have there. Is that picture taken down by the riverside in Kaunas? I got a set of side bars from a 2 door Peugeot that are the right size for fitting to the cougar, but, they need a little bit of work done to them, as in, they are not a direct fit. I am just going to fill in the underside of them and stick them on the sides of the car after carbon fibre wrapping.

Hi,
Its not Kaunas, its Capital - Vilnius, but, yes, its near the river how do You know? :)
Hm, thats an idea, to get them from another similar coupe. Thanks, anyway :) Its a shame that not every cougar has them, in my opinion they look good, and they serve a purpose even better

Ah yes, my mistake, I was touring round Europe last year and visited Kaunas and Vilnius and I remember stopping off at the riverside for a break. I think I even stayed the night in a Best Western Hotel on the banks of the river.
My car has a few car park dings along the sides, so, I decided to try and find something to prevent them. I think it was a Peugeot 306 , 2 door car that I got them from. As I said, they do need a little bit of modifying to fit the cougar, but, they are just the right size.

I wonder how are they attached to usa cougars? Just sticked/glued or attached with screws from inside the door? I found some cougars for parts here in LT with them, will go and see, just want to be prepared how to take them off.
Thanks,

I would be tempted to go for some universal-style trim rather than one from a specific model of car, since you don't want to end up paying dealer prices. It would also mean that you could cut it to the exact length you need and chamfer the ends where the door-shut is. Oh - and yes, that is a beautiful Cougar you have there. (y)

Ford = glue, I remember Jags used to have the trim secured by a row of studs, once Ford bought them they switched to using glue.

saying that the studs used to rust and snap if you ever tried to remove the damn things
