Sunroof motor?

Are you absolutely sure that the motor itself is the problem?
I've never owned a Cougar with a flap, but I've worked on a couple of them. The problem is usually either the stupid plastic runners or the microswitches in the mechanism's chassis.
Does your sunflap move at all?

Can you hear the motor when you try it?
From relatively recent experience....when the runners go the roof will tend to move slightly off centre and then stop pretty much dead. I had to remove mine to get it closed until I could source a replacement.
That said if it's 100% the motor I have one about me.
