swaping the tailgate?

is swaping the tailgate easy i have found a silver cougar that getting sold spares or repairs going to see it tommorow and just wondering for a novice person like my self would it be of use to my self

the car in question has only done 70k but mot runs out next week so i could get it home and just start working away

would anyone be intrested in the engine and gearbox what are they worth?
 
the plug to swap over is in the head lining, i seem to remember it been mentioning on here before, think it was kully (V6singh) that was explaining about it
 
are the cables easily unplugged and re run?

edit just seen the latest post cogs are turning think i will be up for an early start tommorow
 
There's a multiplug halfway down the NSR C pillar that connects the tailgate. You'll need 2 people to lift on and off and to locate nuts and struts. The actual tailgate is not heavy to move off the car.

On a side note, if you are selling parts please use Classifieds as per the rules in that section ;)
 
not got the car yet the boy wants £300 spares repair just wondering if i could make some of it back thanks for the advise on the boot
 
i would be using
both bumpers
alloys to send away get powdercoated
tailgate
bonnet if its better than mine and the same with mirrors
and the main part leather interior
i think i will get my moneys worth but its a shame to let an engine with 70k go to scrap
so just trying to get feelers to see if i could get somethin back
