The dreaded moose

Thanks Paul. Makes sense and that's what I was thinking in post #12 above.

The thing that confused me was "the IACV sits at the back of the UIM and is part of the return feed system that recirculates used bad air contaminated with oil vapour" since I don't see it as part of that subsystem. Even if under high manifold pressure it may actually act that way.

Apologies if I read you wrong mate.

I was tired and probably didn't put it across properly, plus that's the 5th thread I think I have explained it in so its getting a little tedious

Hi Guys.... I'm Lee, i was on here in April trying to fix the dreaded "Moosing" another member sent me a diagram of an Anti-Moosing kit. this is what the mechanic i work with came up with....anti moosing kit.jpg

I was not aware there was a permanent solution, I've just purchase a second hand IACV off of another member, so after reading the above i look forward to testing this part exchange solution,

Polski

As the originator of this thread I am happy to report that the Anti-moosing kit supplied by Dogsbody worked a treat. Thanks very much Mart.
