A couple of days ago i noticed the reg plate COU664R up for auction on the dvla site the auction was to be held today somewhere down south and as i had to work today i could not take part live online, so i placed an absentee bid with them - the reserve was set at £400. Anyway as soon as i came home from work i checked on the auction only to find it sold for £700 unfortunately for me more than i was willing to pay.

I also noticed on ebay the plate COU644R for sale for £1995 i know this plate was bought at the last auction for £350 so he is hoping for a major profit
:eek::eek::eek:

I just hope my plate ended up on a cougar car and not on the front of some old tarts merc or beemer
:oops::oops::oops:

That is why I bought D1CKL for 24K when I had the chance. Anything that spells a name correctly is worth a fortune nowadays. Great investment. Wonder how much I could get for it now?

Am I reading that correcty? Twenty four THOUSAND pounds?

Dick told me that he bought it as an investment for his retirement Rich - a damn sight more useful than sticking it in a pension fund - and, I dare say, a damn sight better return on it than he would ever get from a pension fund :cool:
