Do you use a valeting service? If so, why not give them a thumbs-up in this thread and tell us where they are? Tell us who's good and who's to be avoided.

I've never used a valeting service before - it's always seemed like a bit of a cop-out for something I should be doing myself. But we have a hosepipe ban here and all three of my cars needed a bath, so I went to the Dani valeting centre on V8 Marlborough St, Milton Keynes. They range from a standard wash 'n' wax for a fiver, to a full teardown and engine clean for £65.

At one point, there were five Eastern European guys clambering in and over my car, doing their thing. Now I know what it feels like to be alone in the corner at a swinger's party. :oops:

But they work hard and did an incredible job;

Soft paintbrushes were used to clean the interior. They even had a little machine that they run your floor mats through so they come out completely spotless;

Okay, so it's not a super-detailing service, but I paid a tenner and it took just under an hour. This is what they did:

Bug-remover pre-treatment.
Pre-wash.
Wheel pre-treatment.
Wash with silicone and wool mitts.
Underbody clean.
Spray wax.
Hand dry and shine.
Door, bonnet and boot shuts.
Windows, inside and out.
Dashboard, door cards, centre console, handbrake and carpets hoovered/cleaned.
Leather cleaned and protective treatment applied.
Floor mats.
Tyre dressing and wheel wax.
Filled the washed bottle, (no, seriously).

Can't really say fairer than that. (y)

:EDIT: Though I was not amused by the assclown who accidentally switched on my heated seats and didn't switch them back off again... o_O

Never used a valenting service myself but like you, sometimes you just dont have the time to do it yourself. Looks like they have done a good, thorough job.

It wasn't the time so much as the thought of filling up watering cans and having the soap dry on the old girl because of the hosepipe ban.

I took Ms Mako's Astra convertible up there a couple hours later and got the same high-quality job on her, (the car, not Ms. Mako). These guys seriously work like Trojans.

Value for money there Chris.
I've only used a valeting service once in my car ownership life, and that was for my last capri. I paid £25 probably 8 years ago just for an interior valet, so a tenner for that lot is very good. This thread has also given me thoughtd of trying out a couple of local guys.

They do the same treatment - but external only - for a fiver, but getting the interior done is well worth it. A full valet is £18 but TBH I didn't see that it was much different to the mini-valet so I didn't bother.

To be more exact about their location, they're in Peartree Bridge, literally just off the V8 in front of the MK Marina. In that snapshot, if you were to turn 90 degrees to your right, you'd be facing MK General's. east entrance.

I use the Polish guys at the old filling station on the northbound side of the A1 at Southoe (Little Paxton side of Southoe) its about 5 miles south of Brampton Hut A1/A14 junction
Guys always do an excellent job for £6, and as above, watching 4 or 5 guys zip round the car in less than 15 mins is a darn sight easier than humping buckets lol (which i always have to do as no outside tap here......yet lol) outside is £6 up to £65 for a full monty i think, will check next time i go
