Water comes out back box

Is it dripping out of the box, or the tail pipe? It's totally normal for water to drip out of the tail pipe because the catalytic converter changes some of the exhaust gases to steam/water. You wait until winter, it'll look like you've got a kettle boiling at the back of your Cat.

BTW welcome to the forum, maybe post up a Hi in the new members section? (y)

The OEM system on my V6 has a small slot at the bottom of the front face of the driver's side box to allow the condensation to drip out.

If there isn't one there already Andy, put one in the passenger side box, that's where most condensation collects. When i drilled through mine, there was enough water came out to top up the rad :) ........Thinks!....hang a bottle under it, then when it's full, top up your radiater :)

i panicked when i kept seeing water from under the engine on the mongy, then i discovered when the heat setting is on low it automatically switches on the aircon and doesnt tell you lol

You can over-ride that Paul or at least you can in my Mondy.

I usually see water dripping from the tail pipes, it's like it's a child with a runny nose on a cold day, keep wanting to get me hanky out and wipe it away! pmsl!!!

...silly old fart....slippers.....off back to do some work....lol

Water is a by-product of burning fuel. Depending on the conditions, you might get steam (that's what airliner contrails are), water, or nothing at all.

When the air is dry and cold, you'll see loads of steam. When the air is wet and hot, you'll see water from the tailpipe. When it's dry and hot, you won't see anything.

As a side note, this knowledge was classified Top Secret during WWII, since it would have given away the altitude of our bombers.

i will have to investigate as the aircon light doesnt light up unless pressed manually, but it does state in the owners manual that the aircon comes on automatically anyway
