Had a trip over to Manchester yesterday with my trusty bricks and came back with another set of alloys - 18's this time :geek:

Seriously though, have to say big thanks to JJ for loaning me his set of 18's while my white rims are off for a refurb (even fitting them as I turned up with no jack or wheelbrace!). (y)

Well, he was wondering what these would look like on a Cougar and, well, now you know. Reckon these will look very smart indeed once refurbed and bolted to Bogey (y)

Only kidding John - they look great on the fourby - and yet another example of the kindness and generosity of the peeps on ukc helping each other out (y)
 
Notice that jj hasn't commented yet, my guess is that he's had the chloroform treatment courtesy of the scouse, probably he's watching eastenders on BBC3 blissfully unaware that his wheels are missing, poor *******!

It's nice to see them on a cougar I actually really like them too which is a bonus as I have to put 18"s on to clear the brakes :( which means the set of 5 17" rims I had off of stripes forever ago are now no use to me :(

Well, massive thanks to JJ for sorting out the refurb on my white 17's - nipped up to Manchester after work to fit my freshly painted wheels (and to return the 18's I 'stole' last time!).

Well chuffed with the results - very bright white and shiny too :D Looked great when I went shopping and it was getting darker - the silhouette of a blurple cougar with bright white wheels :)

Still need to sort out the centre caps though as these couldn't be powder coated as they're plastic. Will hopefully give them a quick dust of white tomorrow before we leave for Ford Fair - failing that they'll be getting left off for now. Have a plan for some Cougar head stickers for them that I'll discuss with Al at Ford Fair. JJ also gave me some food for thought on possible styling cues to tie in with the white rims - watch this space!

Many thanks again to JJ for putting this all together so I could have the refurb done just in time for Ford Fair (and for the beer afterwards) - cheers dude (y)
 
Too dark by the time I got home Si - plus for the first time in my ownership of the fourby, the clean and shiny wheels were showing up the dirty bodywork :LOL:
 
Well....quarter to midnight and, after coming to the conclusion I wouldn't have time tomorrow, decided to paint my centre caps white to match the rims. I must be mad :LOL:
 
No problem at all John, happy to be able to help mate and the wheels look fab IMO with a couple of details like we discussed I think it will look amazing.
