Ah... now that brings back some fine recent memories of a dismantled dash :wink: I'm finding myself smiling at the centre console in the bath. I did exactly the same thing lol, at my partner's annoyance. I eventually shifted my spraying shop to the balcony and annoy the neighbours instead, because our bathroom reeked of a panel beater's workshop :roll:

We washed, primed, painted, sanded, painted again and Laquered. My interiour is now "Renault Silver Frost"

Yesterday we replaced the air-con compressor and she got an overdue hovering.

My New Battery

A Heater Blower Motor from a '97 1.8 Mondeo

My Old Air-Con Compressor. The bearing had seased.

My New Air-Con Drier.

My Old Battery

New Battery Fitted and Working.

At very least we got the heater unit all working again. It kept blowing 30A fuses after a while, so we've changed the motor. Can't find anything untoward with the wiring and since it works for a while, and it's 30A we're talking about - I can't think of anything else that'll draw that sort of current on the blower motor circuit but the motor itself - since there aren't many things which draw current on demand like electric motors do - so - fingers crossed, this fixes it once and for all.

Failing that he'll have to spoon in 30A fuses every half hour

There's not a great length of wiring really though - and we think we've covered it all. It all appears to be in good nick, and we've checked all the plugs etc.

We also sat for a good hour or two with a multimeter testing continuities and resistances and found nothing :? :? not that it proves anything of course - only that I didn't find it..... :?
