which battery ?

The battery on my 2.5 v6 year 2000 seems to be on is last legs, can any one tell me do i have to get as hand book suggests only use a lead/calcium battery. My original battery from new (car only done 37k) is a motorcraft bxt 40r 590A cold cranking current. when i enquired at a car spars shop he said use a 075 heavy duty at 600A cold cranking current.Please can anyone advise which battery and where have people found best place to purchase one. cheers greg
 
i would recomend the bosch heavy duty bad boy. i have them in all my cars. (cougar, fiesta, xtril and omega) never misses a beat and starts almost anything. they are costly but totaly worth it.

The battery if an 096 but all lot people put the slightly smaller 075 battery on. (As recomended by some supplyers)
 
Mick is not related and is actually female, i am very fond and have alway found it handy to have around. Mike is a nick name her real name is nickalas hunt. cheers greg
