That does not look good at all. I have no idea what it is but I do not think it will work much like that.
I've never done any Ford big-end work so I'm a bit confused. Is that a con rod?!

Could be wrong, but it looks forged and hardened too. What on earth happened there, (apart from the obvious)?
Yep aftermarket forged rod. That's been a big end bearing failure rather than a boost spike me thinks. I've seen bent conrods from excessive boost before but this one's big end has blued with heat, indicating that it seized at the crankpin rather than got buckled by boost pressure. Who's is/was it Rob?

Exellent rainbow effects there, and the blue is perfectly positioned. Good exercise in case hardening methinks, hang on, that particular part didn't really ought to be that colour, any chance of seeing the crank?

Its not mine guys but it is the same rods I run!
It was caused by excessive boost and running lean. It caused a boost spike that damaged the shell and then did the mess you see above!

That's the spirit - you don't invest hard earned getting a load of power then not use it!
