why to do regular oil changes on a V6.....

.....cos the rockers get all gunk'd up and your engine goes!

scooped 3/4 a carrier bag full of sludge from these this morning....thick wasn't the word!

lol it took about 2 hours, a spachelor, and 2 cans of engine degreaser to get what I could off.

I'll do them again next week then blast them.....my mate would kill me if they went in the blast cabinet like this!

Thats as bad as the dead fezza i did last year, there was an imprint of the cam and rockers in it!!!!!

Techy term.......FUBAR'd!!!!

did this today - took another 2 hours per cover they were that bad.
they have been gently media blasted then aqua washed to get rid of any residual media
next is the UIM.....
 
All good fun!

UIM, souced locally, was pretty bad too. Carb cleaner then left for 20, then pressure washed out.
I'll get rid of some of the rough casting edges with the dynofile then linish the main parts just to help get that smooth finish.
Spare throttlebody degreased, then media blasted: will leave that as it is ;-)
