The handbrake seems to be behaving itself - I guess it might have just taken up the last bit of wear left in the pads!
As I don't have another car to fall back on it would be good for it to just scrape through and then I can have any advisories rectified at a more leisurely pace

Sorry for late reply I've been putting up sheep fencing, believe it or not.......
IT PASSED!
Just an advisory for that O/S rear tyre wearing on inside edge, so going for tyre and alignment next week.
I'm really shocked - I really thought something was going to be majorly wrong. The emissions in particular are very low.
Also the underside is apparently very good and THE REAR BRAKE PIPES HAVE BEEN DONE
Looks like Combe won't be it's only show
