2.0 zetec engine.

New to the forum so big hello to everyone.
I've got a question regarding the 2.0 zetec engine so here goes.
What's the difference between the cougar engine and the mondeo engine?.i ask because i've heard that some minor mods were made to the cougar engine to make it feel a bit more eager does anyone know what they were?.
I've looked at certain things like BHP,TORQUE, but they are the same according to ford.
Anyone else heard/read this?.

Hello Adam and welcome to the forum. AFAIK the engines are the same but I'm sure a Zetec owner will be along shortly to confirm or deny this.

Hi Adam, welcome to the forum, as above, the Zetec engine fitted to the Cougar is the same 2L black top Zetec E engine fitted to the Mondeo MKII.

Welcome Adam. As above, Mondeo and cougars use the same zetec E blacktop. There are loads of fairly simple mods you can add though to make it a bit more responsive.
