A Fusion with an ST engine...

Back when I lived in Chelmsford, there was a girl who modified a Corsa with a 2.2L(?) Ecotec motor. She supercharged it. Lord only knows what that took, how she did it, or how she dumped the heat.

She was legendary. People would talk about her in hushed tones, hoping that they never met her. She never turned up at meets, just appeared on the road, then vanished.

One night, driving really-fricking-quickly along the A12, A random Corsa came past me like I was parked. Curious, I floored it just to see what was going on. I caught up - briefly - and saw her pretty blonde passenger laughing at me.

That car disappeared into the night like a wraith. I've never seen anything like it. That mummy-wagon hammered off at well over 150MPH, around a bend that I wouldn't have taken at half that speed.

Anyway, Supershed. Cosworth YB in a Fusion. It will fit. Be the legend.

"Severn Valley Motorsport, here doing wild shi...stuff so that you don't have to."

Honestly, a lot of these builds I'd rather experience vicariously through YouTube videos.

Because although I have already confronted my own mortality, I fear what I would do in a road-legal car with 1000BHP. I still have some mortgage payments to make and I'm not sure my company's "Death in Service" payment covers abject stupidity.

In the late 90s, SVE did a host of projects that never saw the light of day, including a tuned 2.0 Zetec car, that I'm told was 'an absolute beast of a car once we sorted the handling out '...
They also had a highly tuned 1.7. Yamaha engine (not the Racing Puma one) they had a play with too which revved better!
