A little info regarding air temp sensor please!

Gave it a good blast yesterday and the mpg display has started to drop a bit, not sure how accurate it is though. I changed jobs last week, I'm now doing about 15 miles per day instead of 120. I can live with a drop in fuel economy lol.

Thanks again guys

HI,Guys, I,ve just fitted an induction cone to my v6 this evening
& as usual its missfiring so i,ve disconected a battery lead to
reset the ECU. My prob is where to put the sensor as i removed
the filter box,the only place i can put it would be BEHIND the
cone on the rubber sleeve between cone & MAF intake.
Would this work or can you suggest an alternative.

Hi mate, you can put the air intake temperature sensor anywhere on the induction piping really, probably away from the engine is best but it's not critical precisely where you fit it.

Just to clarify was the car misfiring before you fitted the induction kit, or did this only occur afterwards?

Regards,
Andy

As Benham says, you can fit it pretty much anywhere, though I'd make sure it's upstream of the MAF sensor, (in case it doesn't seal correctly). Intake leaks downstream of the MAF can cause some really weird problems.

What cone filter did you buy? Was it a universal one?
