A slippery slope

The originals had split all the way round. These were cheap :) I have a little Edge 12" active sub in the garage that will make its why in there at some point. Kully and Jason may frown a little but I think I'm going to leave the head unit standard and use the high level input of the rear speakers. When I can be bothered with the work :)

Going that route will produce rubbish sound from your sub. The Ford headunit isn't capable of running one and with the measly 10/15W RMS it produces it'll barely move the sub and you'll either cook the headunit or get warm wires. It'll sous like its working of sorts but it won't last long. Door speakers look good though ;)

It'll work fine if I assume correctly that he is running an amp from a high level speaker input ;)

Or.......I could just buy a fascia panel and fit the wharfdale bluetooth headunit I've got sat in the garage. Must remember to get my CD's out of the player first :)

However, I've been a little busy already...
Dash needles refitted to correct places. (Lots of hot glue remedial work behind the dash as well)
Original key butchered for blade and transponder...Jag keyfob done.
Alloy wheel paint applied (badly)
Interior roof light leds swapped out for disco lights.
8swg, RCA and trigger wires laid in.
T cut to the major scrapes done.
Foot long hole in the sill welded and blended.
Underside wirebrushed and a liberal quantity of Schutz underseal applied with a spraygun to the entire underneath while we were there.
New tyre.
Pencils cleared from the boot. (There were loads!!!)
A pillar alcantera reapplied.
Acrylic Cougar head fitted to parcel shelf
Fascia panel ordered from E-Bay....oops

Nice work fella....sounds like it's coming along nicely :)

Definitely not the car it looked in the pics then  know how that feels only too well!

Sounds like you've made good progress so far though, hopefully you'll be saving another one :)

A little rebadging today. And i've finally got round to fitting the FLI underground speakers in the rear. The labelling says 50w rms. I'm not convinced but at £18 a pair i am very happy with them. Just need to find some original TSW alloy centres and give the car a damn good polish and the outside of the car will do........shame i dont sit outside ;)

oops, the roof liner fell off and landed on my bag of LED's
