Does anybody have pics of both the standard airbox and the ST200 airbox side by side OUT of the car?? Tried to fit the ST200 airbox on mine today and it won't fit, just wondering what the differences are between them.

Yeah, ive got the mounting plate for the ST200 airbox, but even with that it doesnt sit low enough to allow me to close the bonnet.

You haven't got any cables trapped have you by the snorkel that are stopping it from going down all the way? If your still having issues, just whip the battery out, will give you a much clearer view as it's being put back together!

As long as you've fitted the bracket like this the box should go in. But you may need to give it a push.

As mentioned, removing the battery will give you a better view when locating it into the bracket.

Cheers for all the info guys, going to give this another go tomorrow daytime when I'm in a better frame of mind to tackle it.

Well been out to the garge today to have another go at fitting the airbox, slipped straight in this morning without so much as needing to get forcefull.

Sounds like the box was on target for the bracket this time. Well done.(y)
Now post some pics of your upgraded engine please.
I bet that UIM goes well next to the Blurple paintwork.:)

Right then, pics: Before I started, with the induction kit in place:

Not given it a good run yet to find, but I suffered alot of heat soak with the induction kit. With a k&n or pipercross panel filter in there, I don't think there is going to be any major difference's between the two, although I won't get the induction roar that I got with the kit.

Yeah, be good to meet you on Sunday.

Looking good Colin.
Glad my old parts have gone to a good home. (y)

However, it looks like you need the ST200 version of the rubber joint between the airbox to the inner wing. I've been looking around the forum for the FINIS code but haven't been able to find it.

Yeah, they have made the engine bay look soo much better, and I'm pleased with the performance increase I've got from them too. Yeah, i did notice that they didn't quite mate together properly when I fitted it.

I know I now drive a 4 pot but I recently did away with my induction kit, returned to the oem box.
Initially it just had a standard filter but I noticed immediate improvements. I now have a pipercross panel filter which has made further improvements both in acceleration and mpg
