Any of you guys know what sort of Alloy would look awesome on a V6 Blurple ? My renovation of the car starts next month with the Alloys being the first to go as two of them are badly dented.

Next year will probably see a respray and probably new leather interior.

So, what works ?:devilish:

Cheers.

Nice one, what size can i go upto without having to adjust anything. Found some nice looking wolfrace set that sits well with my future plans.

Having had 19" wheels and having one welded 3 times due to cracking they are a lot of work on a daily drive car 35 profile tyres do not absorb anything at all along with lowered suspension the comfort is completely gone although the handling is superb.

18"s are a nice compromise but 17"s with a 45 profile rides very nice on a lowered car.

mines was harsh with 17" but i also had full koni suspension to boot, standard suspension and 17" will be comfy enough,on my present car iam running 255/35/18 and its a tad harsh

can't lower mine, i'd never get it off the drive :(. had 17's and currently running 18's , if you're not going to lower it go for 18's cos they fill the arches nicely :)

My opinion - and it is just that - is that everything about the Cougar is chunky and solid, so for me, its wheels should be too. From the thread that Tiggernick linked;

Maisitaly VT7s
OZ Focus RS
Original C2 wheels
Any of the deep-dish split-rims

But I also have a soggy valve for touring car style, like the TD Monzas and Mondy ST wheels. I've got a set of black Monzas in my garage but they're for a Rover/Honda (4/100/ET38). Wish I could have fit them.

The Focus RS mk1 alloys are the dogs dangly's just look at Manos's C2 (they are 18x8 if i'm not wrong)
I've got original C2 wheels for obvious reason's they look good (they are 16x6.5)

Right, i have one more week to go before i have enough to pay For my new wheels.

I seen these,

Which i like...I'm also toying with a Gunmetal Respray for the car next year, so i think those Wheels will go nicely. However, i think after this, i'll move onto new front headlights and i'll be needing a new grill.

Anyways i'm side tracking.

Every ''Cougar '' Alloy i've seen to date is old and knackered, and i don't fancy other Ford Alloys, so i guess am stuck with going my own route. If anybody knows of any Alloys like the ones i'm showing, but better, please let me know, as i've been hawking the alloy scene a lot lately.

But the above are the front runners thus far.

Whad'ya's think

19s look amazing but the harsher ride isnt great. Have a look at the pics on my garage as I had a blurple before, I had 18" alloys which were dark grey with chrome lips and looked superb.

Ok, been to the Alloy place, and i've picked my set. After a bit of thought and planning, i've opted for,

Top left.

Get fitted next Friday, should be good. Also getting my front left tyre replaced as its shot to hell having had a nail perfectly planted in it.

So you changed your mind and went for top right. Much better choice.
