Took my cat in for mot today at the local garage where i always go,i have taken all our cars there for years so i know the lads very well and always have a laugh and a joke with them.
They have started a new mechanic who as soon as i drove in took great interest in my car and started asking all sorts of questions to which the other lads answered most of,so i left the car with them and went back home, got a phone call 2 hours later to say car had passed with no advisories and was ready for collection so off i went to pick it up.
Now when i got there the new lad asked if he could have a word and then asked if i would consider selling the cat,i must admit he caught me a bit by surprise and i started waffling on about how much i had done to it,he offered me more than i paid 2 1/2 years ago to which i said you could get a lower mileage black cat on ebay for 1400 from a main dealer but as he said that was for a bog standard one.I thanked him for his offer but in the end decided not to sell, even the wife called me daft but i just could not say yes i did not realise till i was put on the spot how much i still enjoy the car
