Well after changing the ABS ECU (see https://forums.ukcougar.club/threads/25317-Brake-System-Warnings) I have another 12 months and no advisories

congrats..it a great feeling huh.
i hate mot time as the test is so full of mostly cr@P like are your headlights bulbs white enough and that warning lamp dont light up on ur dash.
and youve had the worst! abs probs..

Well my thanks to Steve (spjmorris) as he was breaking his coug just as I wanted something a little out of the ordinary.Nice going Rod, and well done on the ecu swap
Steve spent 3 hours taking his complete ABS control unit out for me and only wanted 40 or 50 quid so it was a better option than chancing something off eBay, or spending 100-150 quid for a repair which would mean the car was off the road for a week or more too. I also have to thank my father-in-law who did the manual bit . .
I have to say after another couple of days it deffo seems fixed and it was a relief. Now I can get on with the other stuff I was lining up
