Hi folks,
Just recently (about a week ago!) got myself a V6 Cougar, looking to put together a list of jobs to do on it to make sure it's a reasonably reliable daily runner - although that's not what I'll be using it for, my Fireblade fills that role!!
Basically I'm looking to see if there's anyone on here local who knows a bit about these cars to help me generally check it over and identify anything that needs doing, it's MOT'd until next year so I'm not panicking on anything just yet.
At the moment my list of tasks is:
Fix ABS problem (operating at low speed, clean up rings/sensors seems to be the common fix)
Service (air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, oil change, pollen filter, plugs)
Water pump belt (maybe tension at the same time)
Replace aerial mast (short aftermarket one on there, it's crap!)
Replace stereo (got a DAB one ready to go in, need to get a surround)
Replace anti roll bar bushes
From looking through the various how to guides there's a few other checks/tasks that I want to add to the list but I'd appreciate any knowledgeable assistance but it's obviously more helpful if someone can actually see and hear the car
So, anyone near me??
