Anybody used this headlight polish kit ?

...paint polishes are as good as anything...just don't use anything that's
going to cut too deep into the plastic or it will take more time (and sweat)
to get it back...someone suggested 2500 wet and dry, if they're bad then
that would make a good start...I have a spare set I've been meaning to get
around to doing...I'm thinking power tools though... ;- )

Finest grade Wet and Dry you can find, followed by toothpaste or toothpowder. One headlight done so far and the contrast between the two is remarkable. I did try a few polishes and they're no better than the toothpaste to be honest.

Thanks everybody for the replies. I was tempted since I have heard good things about Meguiars, plus I read somewhere else that the proper stuff leaves a UV resistant coating on the lenses - don't know if this kit does that or not but it seemed handy to get everything you need in one box.
To be honest my headlights have lots of tiny cracks rather than being generally 'misted up', I am hoping this polish will seep into the cracks and hide them which is something I wouldn't expect from wet-and-dry and toothpaste. Anybody comment on that aspect of this product ?
Cheers

It's an excellent product, and completely transformed Rich's lights. I couldn't believe what I was seeing when he applied it.

I suspect though that it's very similar to those waxes that work by leaving a silicone residue to fill fine cracks, and will only last until the next time you warm wash the car. But even so, it's far quicker than sanding them and you keep whatever UV protection they still have.

I used tooth paste. Worked wonders.

im not even kidding.

Smoker's toothpolish was the last phase of my headlight restorations (which started with 600-grit, in case anyone was wondering...). If it's good enough for my teeth, it's good enough for my lights.

Thanks, but it looks to me that these cracks won't be sanded out they look much deeper than just on the surface.

Christ... how deep are they? Mine were covered in what could be described as spiderweb cracks, very tiny, but covering the entire surface of the lights. Took about 1 hour to sand each headlight back to smooth with coarse grit paper, then another couple of hours with progressively finer grade, before polishing.
I tried several polishes, but not the Meguiars, which is over 20€ here. None were that good tbh. Heard about toothpaste, gave it a go and it was perfect for the job. I did buy a polishing wheel for the drill though, as my arms were falling off by then.

Yeah I think I will go for a wheel!
I will try to post a pic, but it sounds like they are the same as yours. I just thought they were a bit deeper than fine wet and dry would take out.
