Hi All,

Well, I'm back from my trip to Aussie. Whilst there I attended the Redlands Car Show - April 2009. It was a great day and there were over 800 cars there. Here are some pic's of some of them - enjoy! (y)

That was just great seeing those. Thanks WildV6!!! :D:D:D

Brought back a few memories of my time in Oz. They don't have the rust problems we do here unless they live very close to the sea. You will find that red cars are not so popular as the colour can tend to fade in the sun, although perhaps they have improved the paints now. The red would often turn 'milky' - not a pretty sight!!! :nono:

Nice pics WildV6 (y)

I was out in Aus a couple of weeks ago (for a week) - didn't see one Cougar (although I was working most of the time, so perhaps understandable!

Did you see any out there? :smile5:

Your Welcome Aussiecat (y) Loved seeing some of the Aussie Muscle! some of those motors were unreal, running 400bhp +

Yeh, I know what you mean about paint fade - whilst I was over there I respreayed my mums Toyota Camry as the paint had totally gone on the roof and bonnet. Did it all with spray cans etc. pretty good job even if I do say so myself! lol (mum couldn't afford a proper respray).

No mate, me neither ??? Spent my time trying to spot one everytime I was out on the road but didn't spot one! My mums neighbour spoke to me and he spotted one on his was into Brisbane City, but said he'd never seen one before. Think they must all be down in Adelaide or Sydney way??? lol

Well I was in Sydney, then Canberra and ended up in Brisbane and didn't see one! Mind you, I did the like the cars over there generally - those Falcons and Holdens...nice...I was given a lift in (I think) a Ford Falcon GT (Black with white stripes along the side low down, and black leather interior)...(y)

The following pic is my mum's neighbours car - very nice indeed. It is a Ford XR8 4.3 Litre V8

The latest Holden Monaros are always a good car - and plenty of speed when you put your foot down. Great for long distance driving, did Perth to Mt Newman several times and that was 700 miles. A long haul................

Some great pics there mate! Thanks for sharing them.(y)

God I miss my yank!!:(

Yeh, must admit - always wanted a Monaro myself when I was growing up in Brissy, but never got around to buying one - nearest I had was a V8 HQ Ute I used for work.

I didnt even get that close we left OZ when I was 13 to move to NZ then onto here but still remember the sounds the big v8's used to make you could hear them a mile off(y)
