Best Breakdown Cover??

I get RAC cover with my bank account. That is full recovery anywhere I want in the UK, either back home, onto the place of travel or any garage I decide. Also home start is included. It is also on me as a person, so any car I am in it covers me / us.

I've been with the AA now for 17 years, no complaints. Probably not cheapest but original and best.
I have the breakdown insurance too - you have to keep the car serviced and up together, but if you get towed home they will pay up to the first £500 of getting the car repaired. Was a godsend when the DMF blew up on my previous Mondeo:eek:

It's funny, if you read through their t's and c's - you have to have the car maintained at a VAT registered garage or they in theory refuse to pay.

However, I know Iain (mo-fo) has NEVER been asked for proof of this at all when he claimed.

I have a recovery policy included with group insurance contributions at work....but they are crap, do decided to stump up for a decent one.

I have just taken out full mashings cover with the AA.

Cover for me and the wife, home start, recovery, onward journey etc, plus the parts warranty for the Saab and the Mondy.

Not cheap, or indeed the cheapest out there but a lot of piece of mind I think for the price of a bargain meal for two per month
