Fitting a new stereo tomorrow, any tips for placing the mic? Thanks

If you can bear the fiddling, around the interior lamp or in the headlining works best I've always found.

The the cable down one of the side trims on the windscreen then fart-about pulling it though, use some cable ties etc to attach it somewhere where it won't snag.

Andy

Yeah I placed mine so the mic emerges from the front of the overhead console (so it will pick up both the me and a passenger). It is mounted to the underneath of the glovebox hinge with sticky pads then is fed behind the door rubber and the pillar. Tuck under the headlining around the top of the windscreen then feed through with the interior light popped out and bob's your uncle. Easier if you start at the overhead console end and work your way back to the head unit (y)

I used to have mine on the steering wheel, but from the interior lamp is definitely better. The sound quality is much clearer.
