Bonnet Insulation

Do the V6's come with bonnet insulation?

Just noticed today that the Zetec has Insulation but my V6 doesn't. Is that how it came from the factory or has the insulation been removed?

If it has been removed do people remove it for a reason?

My Coug has got under bonnet insulation, been there since factory. A lot of people don't like it and remove it, just to give it a cleaner look etc. There are many that say it doesn't do anything anyway. However, I am keeping mine in place. I have the same on my Mondy too. Each to their own.

i took mine off, i didn't want the engine bay insulated against the cold, i want it to be colder hahahahaha

3 good reasons why I've been meaning to take mine off for ages now. Just never got round to it as yet!

aparentely the zetec's have it becasue of the extra room in the engine bay...........:bomb::bomb::bomb:

Mine now serves as an excellent "crawling board" when working under the car

Yeah I took mine off as well and now I have got mirrors fitted to the pannels under the bonnet without any overheating issues.
I have driven all the way to the Isle of White and back, racking up over 1000 miles in a week without any issues at all.
So if you just don't like the look of it then remove it.
