As my oe changer failed. I got my hands on a Sony head unit and 10 disc changer from the scrappys. Got the lot for 15 pound. While I had most of the dash out I replaced blown bulbs in dash. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1353775748.890453.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1353775804.351961.jpg

Wow that takes me back a long way!!!, or of the first aftermarket units I had in a car many years ago!!!.

Well done.

JJ

Cool. I need to do the same, since I have a Pioneer head unit and 10-disc changer sitting around, and since it seems impossible to get the Ford OEM cable, (I even have an OEM CD changer ready to fit).

Just need to source a single-DIN faceplate and a loom adaptor...

I got a single din face plate with the cables and an Ariel connector for 7 pound delivered. The wonders of eBay. Lol. That head unit I got will do a turn Till i get a more up-to date Sony. The sound quality is much better even though its old. Lol

Chris, might be worth asking the seller(after you've checked the For Sale section :)) if this one is long enough; looks about right and with the fuse holder attached.

I have just such a cable in my car, doing precisely nowt since I sold the oem head unit and changer around 3 years ago. All it needs is someone to come and take it out of the car (as I wouldn't have a clue where to start) and it will be free to a good home.

The problem is that I've paid for three of the flaming things, none have ever arrived, (and all were refunded as lost in the post).

Because I'm kind of stupid-yet-hopeful, I've just done a "Buy now!" on Quicksilver's link there. Thanks chap - we'll see how I get on! :(

Damn Damn!
I was in abingdon today I could have picked this up for Chris...

Oh damn.

Well, we'll see what happens. I'm kind of convinced that someone's telling me I can't have it - it's beyond a joke now and these've been trusted sellers and at least one was a member here... Relliot, I'll be calling on you next mate!...............
