Middle of a field..........nr Huntingdon
I've chucked this in here cos i know Manos will OD on the pics lol

Paul got a couple of jobs done on his, mainly swapped the decat for a cat, lost a bung and a wheel trim on the 'road' test tho......still cant find em!!! But it has taken the rasp out of his exhaust note so bonus on that one.

Upgraded Manos brakes to 300mm up front with MKIII calipers and Ferodo Premier pads, which are all nice n shiny as per for Manos lol, also fitted rear discs and Fraud pads (Bosch) on the rear, just waiting for him to bed them in now, gotta change a rear wheel bearing, and possibly readjust the rears once they settle down.
Managed to finish his rear shiny shiny strut brace too, had to tap out the threads due to painters filling them up Grrrrr, the removable strut brace is a quality bit if kit, nice one Mart, they are the mutts nuts mate (y)

Also managed to pull the dent i put in Pauls front wing when i went for a errrrrm little stumble lol had a go at a few on mine too, but still got loads more to do on it yet!!!!! Bloody trolleys!!!

Still a rather productive weekend....... and a few bevvies too lol

Slight 'blonde' moment there Matt??? LOL!!!!! .......or was it the start of OFS????? LOL!!!!!!

No I thought the pictures hadn't loaded right, but once I went on my browser I could see there wasn't any ;) just thought it was a bit daft starting a thread in the pictures section when you don't have any pictures to upload at the time :)

Ok here are the pics.

I cant't complain because they've given me and the previous owner good service.
As far as I know, these are the only set of front discs the car has ever had.
The previous owner kept all service and repair receipts and there was nothing to say they'd been changed.
They passed the last MOT in September but there was an advisory that they were corroded on the inside and needed changing soon.
They're 11 years and 85000 miles old!!!

Discovered the right rear caliper rubbers were shot, but not leaking.

Fortunately I had some refurbed rears at home so I borrowed the Green Goblin and collected them.
When I returned I gave them a lick of paint so they matched the fronts and left them to dry overnight.

So onto Sunday and the rears were assembled.

Genuine Ford pads but on peeling the film off we discovered they're Bosch's

Many thanks to Tony for all his hard work and expertise. (y)
Paul was there too, mostly under his car fitting his knock sensor and main cat.

Just waiting for them to bed in now. Although the pedal is a bit spongey, it really does stop now and without any vibrations.
As Tony mentioned, the rears may need re-adjusting as the handbrake needs a few more clicks now.
The handbrake does work though, I tested several hill starts today with no probs. It held the car nicely with the clutch at bite point.

Good job chaps, looks very clean now Manos, I shall be doing mine some point this week or when i return from Castle combe.. Will be nice to have brakes that actually stop the car ..;)

Nice work by Mr Langston - we like a bit of shiny shiny (as if your car needed any more shiny shiny)

Those pitted discs are shocking - almost as if something has sprayed onto them (maybe whilst they were hot?). New discs look so nice - a shame they turn to rust so quickly :(

I think Racing Blue on the calipers with a Silver "Racing" graphic running down them would have looked awesome behind them OZ's.

Looking swish Mr T ;) as ever!

Great work and very shiney results.
Pleased to see your painstaking work on the front calipers at the minifixswapmeet has paid off Manos.

Painstaking? They must be THE best condition calipers in the land. The amount of wire brushing and filing that went into them I surprised there was any metal left

Can you imagine my relief when we had to use my nice clean refurbed calipers on the rear? All I had to do was paint them. I did have to wire brush a carrier, well actually two but that's another story.
