C1 Front Grill

problem i have is the front of cat3 is somewhat 'custom'...i am unsure what would be in that area to attach such a mod to?

Si its a bit hard to see in that pic, but is the gap not the same as an ordinary bumper if not what is there now ?
i am sure it could be fixed to something even if it meant taking the bumper off and fixing it that way

Just for clarity on Si's car. The bumper has the no limits mod molded onto it, the clips that are normally there to hold the plastic grills or not there hence no fixing points for any mesh to be held against.

Si, it might be easier over time to get some pieces of plastic and get them glued into position exactly like the original bumper would be. Wouldnt imagine it would be that hard at weekends when the car is stood there, also you would have yours too copy from.

I would reckon you would need 2 up and 2 down each side:cool:

very jealous. do you have any spare meshing? ;-)

sorry Si you just about get the three pieces out of the one sheet

ive tried painting them and it just didnt look right on the ebony or the blurple, but it looks good on the frosty if you get a good colour match(like it is part of the bumper and is meant to be there)

For anyone thinking of doing this (after Mike's fantastic example as to how to do it properly (y)) you can also get a fairly wide selection of mesh in different designs and colours from B&Q - which is where I got my gold mesh from (not quite as good a job as Mike's :( - but it looks OK unless you get really up close :)).

i have always said that GG is a one off but i must admit it looks so damm good
Iains right B & Q do a host of all different designs and colours and i must admit i was tempted by the gold but then i would have had to change my wheels.i think certain colours go really well together black/chrome green/gold silver/black blue/silver. If ford were to bring the cougar out now you would find it would have a lot more chrome like the focus or mondeo , i suppose thats the way car designs have changed over the years
