C2 owners - questions

You couldn't even ask them for Cougars registered after a certain date either as there were still C1's on the forecourts being registered through 2001 and possibly 2002

Only people who would know are FORD themselves i'm afraid.....and thats debateble
 
IIRC Damians car was a 51 plate C1 and I have seen a 52 plate C1 and an 03 plate C2 somewhere.
 
Like most cars, there are differences in build dates and registered dates.....
Invariably you get early registered late and so on.....I've seen C1's on Y and 51 plate... (such as the M-plate Sierra Cosworth - 2 off, and my C-plate Sierra XR4i)
The earliest C2's are on an X-plate.
Ford mass-registered the first batch and they end RPU or PPU....
I wonder who owns one later than a 52 plate, or if there are/were any?
 
A 'C' plate XR4i? That must be a real rarity, what colour? I loved mine which was of course in Black, it was 15 years when I sold it, put many newer cars to shame.
 
Mineral Blue - totally original and mint...against my sincere wishes, I px'd it for a 2 year old Mondeo Ghia X V6 at the time.....
I saw the 4i on ebay last year.....breaking and in a very sorry state. Gutted :-(
There were 6 or so registered in 1987.....
Mine was the last registered in 1985.....
There was the last C-plate one for sale a year or so ago that was a Ford Brentwood car, and came fully spec'd - factory air con, 16" RS alloys,.....

Ha ha mine is X859 PPU ;)

Yeah don't know where I got the idea of a W reg from, wishfull thinking.

Seen a few 52 Plate ones but not any other number combo

no but you think there would be, there is a list of reg numbers but that doesn't count. I've only known about 6 people on here with C2's out of the supposed 440 on the road in the uk, we could start one I guess, just need to know reg# build date and if its a C1 or C2 (oh and the user name) perhaps its something that should be on the membership form when you sign up? (although not everyone has a Cougar who signs up)

01/03/01 actually, in other words Y reg or later.
Also X reg began on 1st Sept 2000 but due to shipping/european conversion via Germany a W reg is probably not likely.

My V5 has 'Cougar 2', 2495cc and the CO2 figure.
Built 4th Dec 2000, registered 12th July 2001.
