Can't work out if I like it or not!

They're good at preventing stone chips but fine grit will get underneath, and as the fabric moves it will scratch the paint it's meant to protect.
Nice, rare accessory though. Maybe for show use only.

I've never understood these. Protect the paint.... by covering it up with an ugly black shroud so you can't see it anyway.

Lol, you won't believe this, but I was just trying to find one of those for my coug lol!!!! Now that I have seen it, don't think I like it either. However, I have found one of these for my Mondeo, which I 'm thinking about buying and then spraying it the same colour as the car. Found it on ebay: HDFO512 Ford Mondeo facelift 2010 - 2014 Bra Hood Bonnet Deflector Guard. Shame we could get this type of product for the Cougar.

Maybe the club could design some in clear material eg silicone, and then take them off when showing.

I know there is a clear vinyl strip that you cut to shape that would do the much the same job. Not sure how it would look though.

I've seen that on an Aston DB9 and it was almost completely undetectable unless you were within a couple feet of the car.
