Increasingly necessary. I recommend the Amberella 0801 with GPS module. Takes up to a 32GB micro SD and records in 720p, 1080p and broadcast quality HD.

Really considering one for my work van, I cover around 50,000 miles a year in it, lucky me eh!

Yes, that is my video. Recorded in Bradwell Common a few months ago. The police have a copy of it, and the individual featured in it is known to them.
Nope. Genuine, honest thing that happened. His carers couldn't cope with him and he was wanted for violence and shoplifting.

I bought a dashcam a while back but tbh, it's too cumbersome imo, it has GPS but the plug in lead is 8 miles long . I do like the one mako posted, much smaller and less obtrusive than the one i have. I used mine at Castle Combe to track the convoy from Badminton hall this year. I'm thinking more about upgrading to something i can leave in the car and with gps built in. There are so many American drivers over here nowdays, i need a witness to the relentless corner cutting into potential head ons.

I'm thinking of buying one of these too. Doing 80 miles to work and back every day, I see so many numpties using mobile phones and not concentrating on the road. Was on the A38 dual carriageway when I came up behind a chap in a red van doing 45mph, as I pulled passed him guess what????.....Yup, he was busy trying to text on his phone/ipad which was sat on his lap. I gave him a blast of the horn and shouted out of the window to get off his f'in mobile.....he didn't even see or hear me. As I drove on, all the other traffic was having to pull passed him too, even slower lorries. So, think these things are a damned good idea.
Already seen loads of those vid's. I sit and keep myself entertained at night when on break at work.....that kinda doesn't sound right, but you know what I mean lol!!!
I know exactly what you mean. It's kind of uncomfortable when you see ones where it's clear it was fatal, but there's still something to be learned. I won't apologise for being fascinated by it all.
Yes I have learnt one thing....I'd never drive in Russia...they are all bonkers on the road. Road rules? are there are over there? Insurance companies must have a field day with them all.
