*Change of site ownership*

Finally it seems to be moving forward, first i would like to thank Rob for taking control of things and keeping this family alive, and secondly i would like to apologise for my lack of time on the forum recently, i am now working on spending more time on here again and still on the look out for another Cougar, not 100% sure how that will pan out but still wish to be part of this club and if i can help out in any way, I am here..
Also, i wish JJ the best in sorting things out, it's been a tough time for him as i understand it.

Add.

Thought you had blown away lol

Still here Rob, checking in most of the time, but building this business has taken most off my free time up until now, it's smoothed out a little and started to run it's self, so more time to come back and join in again, help out where i can and keep uncle Al on his toes..

Firstly I'd like to thank JJ for keeping this bunch of reprobates in a forum we all enjoyed.....yes that is past tense!

Secondly, a couple of you have demanded info from the running of a privately OWNED club.....i know where i'd tell you to get off

Thirdly, there is no old guard or new guard, we're all just idiots who like the same car....simples, some have just owned them a tad longer thats all

Fourthly, this club or forum, is one of the best there is.......altho now that may be WAS!

For a measly annual sum, i cant beleive that some of you are griping about paying up to be a member, the rule is if your not a member you dont get acces to club forum's or events....END OF! It costs me £20 A DAY to get to work, WTF????
As for the running of the club and the mods, then just assign moderator positions, then vote them in annually, personally i couldn't give a toss who moderates them, unless they are a complete dick

So bring on the 'new guard' and lets see if they can make as big a **** up as we 'the old guard' have cos if you find more than 5 people who are interested, that will still be interested in 3 months time, when the show seasons under way and they have to give up their spare weekends and evenings chasing idiots to cough up for events that they dont actually give a toss whether they go or not too, then i'll be out on my bike.........rant over, Rob you've got bigger ******** than i have cos i'd shut it down and walk away....................................especially after PM's like you've had!

That's me buggered then...

Okay. The following changes will be made very shortly

The following is the new structure of UKcougar.org

Owner/Admin: Bobster1982
Webmaster and tech Admin: MRT803
Administrators: Pid_16v, Dogsbody
Club Accounts and membership: Quicksilver
Moderators: v6Singh, Add_issan, charliecd001, Dickl, Lucid, Mako
Group buys, discounts and classifieds "ploderator": ScunnyCougar

Thank you to the old members for stopping about and welcome to the new guys!

I will be taking someone else on shortly to assist Andy with the memberships.

For now we are leaving shows and events to be organised by the individual that would like to do a particular show. If anyone however is barmy enough to want to do the lot then please PM me.

After speaking to JJ as of today I have taken sole control and ownership of UKcougar.org and everything contained on it.

It is my intention to keep the site running as is for the minute and I will be discussing with mods about changing the complete structure of how this site runs. It will most likely be going down a donation based route or remain a yearly price with someone other than myself in control of the money with accounts and reports.

A banner will be sorted ASAP as well as the liability insurance. I will attempt to get both sorted this week coming in between night shifts.

I will also be appointing new admin from the mods team and bringing moderators into the team from the members.

what the hell have I let myself in for..........

Rob

Good on you mate, some might say it's been on the cards a while but I thought the club was fine, yes with the change to .org I felt maybe some fresh ways of doing things could have come in to effect so it's good to see you even have time, I know your a busy man isn't everyone these days (well not me for obvious reasons lol) I wish you all the luck in the future and if you need any help just ask mate. Matt aka ginja

tbh i couldn't give a c**p where the money was going, as i don't want or feel the need to get invovled in the politics side, but for what is available on this site for the years of knowledge gained by years of ownership from the long standing members/mods/admin folk, £18 is a pittence.

When i joined i assumed as i'm sure most people did/do the membership fee was going towards the runing of the site to pay for hosting costs etc, etc

I used run a very successful motorcycle based site for 10 years, which i built from scratch for which i was paying out of my own pocket when i got made redundant i put a donation to site for running costs on the home page and only "one" person sent me anything inspite of the fact there were several thousand hits a week as nobody wanted to cough up even a few quid to help with running costs, so after 10 years of ******* hard work, research and endless hours spent updating the site all this was lost when i had to shut the site down because i just couldn't afford to run it out of my own pocket any more.

So thank you Bobster for taking this on, i know what it takes to keep a site like this running so good on yer lets all move forward now and make this the best owners site available.
