When Chris tragically left us, as many of you will know I took possession of his old part's car. A v6 written off due to nearside smash. Well, since it has been with me, it has sat there to be honest, gathering a bit of dust. But the time has come to do something with it. It crossed my mind to try and revive the old girl, but it really would take a lot of time and money to do and would not be economic. However, baring in mind this car has not been on the road since 2006 - we strapped a battery to her having checked the oil, first turn of the key and she fired into life and my god does it run smooth. A great feeling and kind of fitting :)

Near side is fubard.

As is the front bumper, rear bumper, bonnet, near side door, both near side legs and interior in pieces, all calipers missing, and a cat C write off.

Lots of good points (off side suspension brand new, subframe that looks like new, engine that runs like new), but it would cost more than its worth to put back on the road.

What about transferring all the good/new parts to a Coug which is in better condition, but which possibly needs a new engine etc? I'm sure there must be one or two people in need? and I'm sure Chris would have approved of this if he were still around.

once my subscription extension is sorted then i will be listing all the available parts.

The time has come for the good parts to be recycled (Tim's wish).

The engine really is the sweetest V6 i have heard running and needs to be loved again

The subframe is in really good nick, but remember the car last saw the road in 2005/6.

I didn't know Chris - I don't think I ever interacted with him at all, sadly.

But from what I've read about him, he was a generous and selfless soul and I like to think that he'd want that Cat C to help other member's cars live on.

Like I say I didn't know him at all so I mean no offence if my impression is wrong.
