Club polo shirts??

I resemble that comment, actual chest measurement is 52" at the moment Matt so it really depends how big they actually come up

Same problem I have my actual chest measurement is 49.5" and it's a struggle when your not that tall to find a top that fits without being too long.

I have the opposite problem having a long torso and shorter legs - always have to buy tops that are too big so they are long enough :(

Alan I am sure your very good friend .. who is a friend of the owner of Xamax coukd get a cheaper deal for you :)

I am sure Phil. This is a very strange thread, lots of interest but no interest if you know what i mean.

I think until someone 'takes ownership' and starts projecting costs, most people are going to be on the fence mate. Given debacle of the last group buy, people are also going to be reluctant to be 'the one'.

Hell!!

I'll organise it if no one wants to take ownership of this GB - otherwise I may do my own Ford Cougar polo shirt as I'd like something before show season starts

Theres nothing to stop you buying your own, bearing in mind the www.ukcougar.com copyright, but please note: :-

All Group Buys are cancelled for the foreseeable future.
You do not have permissions to organise a group buy.

As I've previously stated the shirt situation is under negotiation. If someone else wants to take it over that badly then be my guest! Save me wasting even more of my time on sourcing products for the forum that everyone wanted and then never bloody bought!

I bought some, Ginga did too:LOL::LOL:

Lol, wasn't the t-shirts so much as the different styles of jackets, ladies wear, hats, scarves etc. When sourcing it all last time from a place that produced quality stuff, at a good price along with a customer service aspect for us as a forum for returns, faults etc was a nightmare. Trying to keep it all in one place too. Then Bob and I spent the best part of a month of our spare time setting up a full interactive store which to date has been a waste of time.

Nobody bother with registering or ordering through it now either as everything is unavailable. I will be closing the shop down altogether. It's another one of those thankless things that consumes so much of ones time toing and froing from the printers/embroiderers/post office etc which was all extra to the forum time it took.

As I said before, if anyone else wants to do it, be my guest but at the moment it will only be a member of Admin or Mods. Whilst there are many places that offer cheap printed goods online, it's usually varying degrees of heat press as opposed to embroidery etc which has a limited shelf life from the second it's done. Only longevity is in the quality of the print. It's always been a point of presentation really that embroidered goods always look better, professional and more uniform as it were. Not like it's a stag weekend and you'll only wear it once. The stick I supplied over the last couple of years has proves it's worth in that everyone that bought some still has it. And they still look ok.

Ultimately you get what you pay for and some novelty print place is exactly that! I do have a few places I've spoken too and also have been given details of more, one from a member of our club too as it goes who has recommended someone they know personally.

I have two vest T-Shirts from when you were doing it, the quality was very good, think that I got them in 2009, they don't get worn that often but they are good quality and the printing is still good.

I think that merchandise for the club is something that we've missed the boat on over the years, I can see that it can be a thankless task but, dated cougarfest key rings could've been done, we'd have the full collection as would a few others, a nice momento of something that won't be around forever. The possibilities are endless, the trouble has always been that up until recent years we've never had big turnouts to club events so t shirts and the like have never really taken off. It's a shame really as it could've been a possible source of income to support the club in keeping cougarfest, and the spirit of cougarfest alive.

When I first joined the club, there was quite a lot of snobbery from some members, none are here now thankfully but it seems that now that the car is affordable for the masses, the more down to earth people who are buying them are starting to support the club at shows. Which can only be good for the club.

I was thinking of a "World Tour" type of t shirt that I could maybe provide iron on dates/places for??

Agree with RichB, i got a club shirt from Kully maybe 2years ago and it's still in tip top condition, and I do wear it alot!! It's a lovely black polo shirt with club logo on front and user name on the back. It's comfortable and ..... Slimming!! Lol.

I messaged Kully a few weeks ago about club shirts and he told me the situation he was in with suppliers. I'll wait until it's sorted out then order more because I know he will get us a good deal on quality. ( and after this post maybe a discount lol!! )

Also like the idea of a yearly club shirt with a commemorative bit to celebrate fallen colleagues !! :-(
