cougar alluminium door trim ( both sides ) 1999

hello on my 1999 cougar the aluminium door trim , which has a rubber coating has developed a spotted finish ( on both doors ) , is it possible to have these door trims replaced , advice as to where to obtain them from would be most appreciated, thanks

ISTR that one or three chaps have just whipped 'em off, rubbed 'em down a bit & given 'em a blast of suitable black painty stuff, & lacquer.

Think that Al aka Pid_16V, use to do ones that had been cleaned up and then Vinyl wrapped, cant remember price but you sent old on a exchange basis

Might be worth a Pm to see if still doing

was discussing this with Al at Fest, he isn't doing them any more but we decided that a black gel coat would stop it or taking the aluminium out and replacing with steel

How do you remove the trim i have tried but cannot see how without damage?

If you pull away the rubber window seal you should see several screws which hold the aluminium trim in place.
