Cougar - Any Good ?

I quite fancied a blurple replacement for mine (c2 reg x851 Ppu if it ever comes up for sale) and have seen a few on Autotrader and eBay that look half decent, one even had a twin exit exhaust etc and all the other obligatory V6 mods.
 
As others have said i guess it's buying the best you can afford, unless you're specifically looking for a project.
When I bought mine funds were pretty tight and I wasn't specifically looking for one anyway, so I'm happy with what I've got!(y)
 
Buy the best you can TBH......... have a really good look under it as others have said. If it has been well looked after then you will be fine. Most things are cheap to repair as well apart form the front wishbones and rear subframe. Check these 2 things for sure. Take someone with you, if it does not feel right walk away, there are plenty available for little money these days. Good luck in your hunt.

I think the silver frost are the most common by far so you would likely have more choice in that colour.

Hey everyone, Thanks for all of the replies on this thread - just wanted to tell you that my conversion from the dark side is now complete .... I've got a Cougar again. Its a 2.5 V6 Frosty, only done 70k
