Cougar buying info needed

Hello Dave and welcome to the forum. (y)

That does look to be a tidy example although it looks like the 'brick' or front number plate surround has had a bit of a squash and maybe there's a ding on the front edge of the rear off-side wheel arch.
It's also missing one of the adjustable bonnet stops from the front slam panel and the slam panel/bonnet catch cover is absent.

I hope you find what you're looking for.

40,000 miles and one owner? You'd struggle to find a more promising example than that!

I'm amazed that it's only done 1,800 miles since Jan 2015. Looks like the fluids could do with a change up if that's the case.

I agree with Olly and Paul.

By the looks of things, the seller is probably a hobbyist who picked it up at auction. You should be able to negotiate him down to £1100, regardless of that absurdly low mileage.

Failing that, get him to sell it to you for £1200 with a full fuel tank. My experience with these guys is that they drain the tanks into a bowser and leave just enough fuel to get to a local service station.

Looks an ok coug, however, even with that really low mileage is it really worth that amount of money? I would have thought more like £950 at most? I paid £1500 for my coug with 40k miles on it 9 years ago, since then the price of cougs has dropped considerably. Still, not a bad example except for the bits that Andy mentioned. Just my two pennith worth lol
