Well I have just finished bonding this onto the car. Took some work to " make it fit " but I think it will be ok once all dry. So it is now going to stay this way for 48 hours and we will see if it worked.............

Yes I know, but they are very heavy and it needed some serious weight to make it fit.
I take it that the curve of the spoiler didn't match the curve of the tailgate? And that it's just held on with adhesive?
You got it, it fitted just fine on the drivers side but the otherside is way off + the groove that is in the spoiler to slot into the upper glass trim area is next to useless as well. I just hope I have managed to pull this off ok.
Did you find yours was to short width wise aswell, put mine on and aswell as being twisted its about 10mm short on each side, not going to put it on now so will be going up for sale shortly
Yes it is short, but not by 10mm, I would say about 5mm each side. I will use some chrome strip on the edges or something to blend it in. I left the chrome trim I had on the boot edge as it actually helped with fitting it due to it not being perfect. I think to make this fit perfect, it would take a hell of a lot of work and skill to make it happen. I will be happy if it turns out ok and stuck to be fair.

How was the fit on your car then ?
I found it quite a challenge to make it fit.
to be honest, i didn't remove the window rubber, which makes it easier apparently ? had to do a bit of trimming/fettling on the rear edge but other than that very happy with it
Guys did no one bother to look at the post I put up with instructions to fit?!. A heat gun to heat it up which allows it to soften up enough to mould to shape as it cools then you bond it into place.

mine was a pretty good fit jj, happy with it anyway, didn't see the posts till after it was fitted unfortunately
Same here, I have not seen anything until just now, it is to late now as it is on the car. I did take the window trim out as it did help a bit with fitting but I left my chrome trim inplace as this also helped a bit as well.

Well I have a look for the instructions thread and I can not find it, but it is to late now anyhow, I will just stick with my 3 huge tins of paint to make it stay on the car.

Cheers for that. It is not to bad at all but far from perfect. You would really need to look very close to find much wrong with it, it is just the ends are not flush with the tailgate but not much I can do about that. I have used some chrome trim to " fill in " the gap which looks ok. I did leave the chrome trim inplace along the top of the tailgate so it does tie in ok.
Looks nice matey, well done, was going to put one of these on one of my past cars but didn't get around to it, got me thinking again now.
