Would someone that has an upper S spoiler be able to measure the dimensions of it for me? I'm looking for the length on the edge, in the middle, and the height of the edge that sits against the car?

I may be able to get some made here in the states for semi cheap so people don't have to get them from across the pond

so you want the club who produces the spoiler via the original creator of the cougar s kit to give you the dimensions so you can rip it off?

All patent parts are copies of originals and the biggest Cougar market on planet earth is in America. It makes sense that someone wants to make them over there. For the same reason here people are loathed to order parts from the states due to taxes and shipping etc, it works the other way too. I think the replies above were uncalled for.

Especially as its not that long ago the "creator" wanted rid of the moulds. Realistically how many £3000 bodykits is he now gonna sell for £500 cars? The £3000 includes kit purchase, fitting as spraying. Wouldn't be far off that mark.

Asking amongst the Cougar community for Cougar specific information? To try and actually save fellow members some cash and maybe produce something that might sell well albeit in limited numbers? Yeah, I can see how that takes the biscuit!!

Might as well close NECO and here then? All said, its how any idea anyone has had here started. Anything that has been created for these cars etc are either original work or copies. Look at Alan and the infills, copies of a one off that he bought off Skindemons car who had had it custom made, Alan's fog light covers, direct copies of the Roush ones which all came from the States as they were never a UK option or stock, the bonnet scoops too, copies of an original which again came from the USA. Tony making tail light covers, copies of US items.

Yet some one makes a spoiler here and it's all top secret? If I had one of those top spoilers if have happily taken the measurements and sent them. Not like they're copyright protected? If I owned one it would be mine to do with as I please.

That's not what I said and you know it. This place wouldn't exist we're it not for NECO. I fail to see why you seem so highly strung on the sodding spoiler! It's not a national bloody secret is it?

Plus asking cougar questions on cougar forums is the very essence of the clubs existence is it not??

At least the OP was honest enough to state his intentions and its not exactly a bad thing is it? Look at the last debacle that was the Cougar S spoiler experience for the Americans? It took Jason what seemed like an age to get that order sorted and not his doing as he was just the middle man. That took months, a mountain load of cash involved and a massive shipment. Because that's the only way the largest Cougar community could make it viable. You know as well as the next man, and better than most that if there's a way to make/provide Cougar stuffs at a cheap and affordable level that it'll get a better response within the base of owners than anywhere else.

Imagine for a minute that the Cougar S kit was made in the US and not here, you really wanted the S spoiler setup and you got the above response when trying to bring it over here?

There's be far more S replica cars if the kit was available in the US.

Good idea Andy ;) I don't know what the ins and outs are of getting it to the States as its been some time since I sent anything over but it's always handy to have a model to work from or to take a mould from.

The cost of spoiler inc shipping to USA isn't prohibitive. If you want to copy one them order one :) there is no issue with sending to the states and a lot of the GB delays were down to waiting on payments/shipping details and some misinformation from the original shipping company that quoted it was as simple as that.

There is a better procedure in place now for orders.

If someone wants to order one and have it shipped then copy it that's their choice as I can't control what happens once someone has it.

Also to the OP a lot of guys over there have them so maybe someone local ish to you can let you take a look at it.

I've recently used Interparcel for a parcel to Europe and found the service to be excellent. After entering the package dimensions, collection and delivery addresses they quote several carriers and their prices. All fully tracked and insured. They don't appear to do the 'volumetric weight' rounding-up either.
