Hi guys,

I'm Jim - a one time V6 owner, and briefly a member here, back when I was too young, stupid and naive. I killed that cat, something I still beat myself up for....however I have now acquired a very well looked after V6 X-pack with 62k on the clock; she's had an oil change every 5k and is (or rather was) fully original, even down to the '99 Cougar badged carpet mats.

This time I will be mostly looking after the car. :D

I'm based in Shropshire not too far from Telford and/or Shrewsbury and am looking forward to getting involved so if I can help anyone anytime don't be shy and let me know.

Anyway, modifications I have already undertaken are: crystal side repeaters, short-shift gear stick, meshed grille and lower wing, debadged rear with Mercury badge added, V6 badges under side repeaters, shaded rear lights/3rd brake light. And a damn good service.

Mods upcoming in the next fortnight (that means I've actually paid for/got them coming as opposed to a wish-list) :) ; C2 leather interior, C2 dash, dials, steering wheel, IMRC LED in dash :D, C2 headlights, ST200 airbox, bellows, MAF housing and K&N panel filter and a new air freshener. :)

I've also acquired a set of 18" split-rim 15 spokes and Mondy Mk3 front brake calipers. I'm planning to rebuild the entire suspension setup; has anyone fitted the BAT Euro handling kit at all? I had that in mind along with new wishbones, actually new everything bar the knuckles which can just have a good clean up and a paint!

Beyond that it's body kits, engine work and paintjobs....but we'll see.

Greetings to one and all....nice to be here. :)

Welcome back Jim, now look after it ! You've certainly set your sights on a busy few weeks with that one. Keep us posted when you start fitting the C2 dash, is it the complete dash you have or just the binnacle/cover? I've also got a complete C2 dash to complete my C2 interior but not looking forward to the conversion.

It's most of the dash and gauges....plus I'll do the IMRC LED mod within the gauge pod. Not looking forward to it too much, but it'll be a good practice run for doing the leather dash later.

Hello and welcome back aboard. Sounds like you have a few little mod jobs in mind...good luck. Like others have said - get some pic's posted up.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome....I'll stick around this time!
Keep us updated, we could work together on this one :)
Sounds good to me - funnily enough was planning to drop you a line anyway - a little birdie tells me you have achieved C2 seats to the older C1 loom? :D
